Fold and Cut Tulle

Pick three different colors of tulle for this project; we used pink, purple and gray. Lay three yards of each color of tulle flat, then fold them over multiple times to set up for measuring and cutting strips.

Set a ruler on top of the folded tulle, then cut a small slit every 2 inches. This will be the start of your strips for the tutu.

Finish cutting the tulle into complete strips at each 2-inch mark.

Continue until you’ve covered the entire elastic band. Clean up the skirt by trimming any long pieces of tulle.
